Our associations and memberships reflect our commitment to professionalism and compliance in debt recovery and in our own corporate governance:
The Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) is the largest professional credit management organisation in Europe, and the second largest globally. It represents the credit profession across trade, consumer and export credit, and all credit-related services such as collections and insolvency. Formed over 70 years ago, it is the only such organisation accredited by the UK Government regulated body Ofqual. Our Managing Director is a long standing Member of this Institute.
Institute of Export (IOE)
Established in 1935, the Institute of Export is the professional membership body representing and supporting the interests of everyone involved in importing, exporting and international trade. Offering a world renowned suite of qualifications and training, the IOE is the leading authority in best practice and competence for businesses trading globally. We maintain Full Membership at individual level.
In 1997, the UK Government, in partnership with leading business organisations, launched the Better Payment Practice Campaign. The Group implemented a number of measures to help businesses get paid on time. We support the Group’s ethos, having signed up to the Payment Practice Code:
- Agree payment terms at the outset of a deal and stick to them
- Explain payment procedures to suppliers
- Pay bills in accordance with any contract agreed with the supplier or as required by law
- Tell suppliers without delay when an invoice is contested, and settle disputes quickly
By signing up to this Code, businesses demonstrate their commitment to good credit management and paying on time.
